About Taylor

Taylor Altwarg, LCSW, takes a person-centered, humanistic approach to counseling, incorporating trauma-informed care into all the work that she does. She is a huge advocate of meeting her clients where they are at and showing up for them in ways that help them to feel safe, heard, and understood.

Life can be difficult and challenging, but it can also be so beautiful. Through the work she does with her clients, Taylor helps them acknowledge the truth: that two things can exist at the same time. Helping her clients to access their own strengths, skills and sense of self is the most rewarding part of being a therapist.

Taylor earned her Masters from the University at Buffalo in 2021 and her undergraduate degree from Canisius College in 2019. She brings 4 years of experience and is SIFI Certified.

Taylor was inspired to become a therapist because she knows not everyone has the same kind of support system she was lucky to have. Through meeting with her clients, she tries to offer them the same kind of care, respect, consistency, and compassion that her support system gives her.
