About Monica
Monica Clyne, LMHC-LP, brings a unique blend of forensic expertise and compassionate care to her work with individuals navigating complex life transitions. With her Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from CUNY's John Jay College of Criminal Justice — where she also studied abroad at City University in London — and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Legal Studies from UMass-Amherst, Monica brings a comprehensive understanding of both mental health and legal systems.
Monica specializes in supporting adults, veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals, with particular expertise in post-incarceration interventions and working with those on parole or probation. She addresses PTSD, anxiety, and depression through an integrative approach combining Person-Centered therapy, CBT, Forensic CBT, Transactional Analysis, and Mindfulness. Her certification in Individual Sex Offender Treatment reflects her commitment to specialized, evidence-based care.
At the heart of Monica's practice is her belief that the therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation for meaningful change. She creates safe, collaborative spaces where clients can explore deeper patterns and triggers while developing practical tools for risk management and emotional regulation.
